My MAC experience.

Hello lovelies,
Today I want to talk about my experience at MAC.

Now we all know how amazing their products are, I mean at least 45% of my make up as a whole is MAC. I am quite faithful to MAC I always check out their new collections and end up purchasing a lot of products from them. I had an event tonight which was very important to our community, it was an appreciation to the Cricket Club that my dad sponsers and many of our family friends would be at this event. It was like a party, dinner and dance type thing. I was very excited for this as I got to really dress up and get my make up done.

I chose MAC as I do love their products and I thought that I would give one of their make overs a try, I always see girls getting their make up done by them so I was thinking why not? I booked my appointment and went back a week before to pay for it too.

Well today was not what I had expected at all..I got to my appointment a couple of minutes early...firstly they served me late...and secondly....I ended up waiting 20 mins. Now to me that is just ridiculous, I got terrible customer treatment by being made to wait on the side...with no one even bothering to look or ask me if I was ok...the main reason it ended up being 20mins was because I was trying to see if somene could help me but they were just too busy to even take a look at me.

In the end...don't even know how someone bothered to ask me if I was ok...now I was frustrated and I said to them that this is just out of order, their poor customer service and sheer arrogance has cost me my time and money. I had to be somewhere with my mum around 2.15pm and I just didn't have time to mess around with their complete lack of organisation. Look I understand that it is Saturday and you are busy...but I booked my appointment a MONTH in ADVANCE..and I had already PAID for it too. So why did you shove me aside...and become more concerned with making your commission and selling products?

The girl who was supposed to do my make up DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT I WAS THERE? I mean it doesn't get more outrageous that that! If they know that they have a certain number of makeovers booked why then can you not even know your schedule? I kicked up a real fuss because they just messed me about, made me late and I had paid them already for this stupid thing, there is no real reason for miscommunication because you know that these appointments have been booked WAAAYY in advance. The girl who told me to wait didn't even apologise for her mistake.

So I did end up getting my money back...even though they said oh we can do your make up but it was too late, I had other things to do and to be quite frank I was just too upset...and no point in me getting a pity make over.

Look this seems like a silly thing to rant about, but I have never ever had any kind of make over in my life, and just for once I wanted to look nice for a day. But the way the staff at MAC treated me reallly made me upset, I was so devastated because this event was so so important as I was going to be one of the main people at the door greeting everyone.

I did get a phonecall from MAC later on my voicemail apoligising and asking me to come back but too little too late at the point. My mum had a makeover at NARS in another store and they were just completely amazing, their treatment and respect for customers was lovely plus their make overs were free too, even the lady at NARS was shocked at how I was treated, if she didn't have a Bridal party coming in she would have done my make up too and her colleague was fully booked. NOW that's how you treat a customer...

The main reason for being so upset is because I was just so excited for this appointment, I told all my friends about it and even they were appauled over the treatment I got from MAC. I have no other events to attend now for the rest of the year so basically they played me up and now offering a free make over won't do me anygood. I don't really have anything going on for Christmas or New Years either.

So maybe you can now understand the way in which I feel so upset and deflated, I was genuinely soo excited for this and just the arrogance of the MAC staff is just shocking, is this how they treat their customers? I don't need a pity free make over either? Because they pretty much did bring me down for the rest of the day...I know its silly but things haven't been all that good for me lately and this was the one thing keeping me going.

Anyway I won't be going back to my local MAC counter for a while now, their treatment of customes espesh pre-paid customers is absolutely poor and they really need to think about what they did to me.

I just wanted to share that story with you, do let me know if you have had similar experiences at make up counters because it surprises me every time.

Sorry for the essay guys,

Take care,
Ash xxxx
