Free Gifts galore!

I love it when you buy something from a make up counter and they give you free gifts. I completely forgot to add this in my foundation post the other day but the lovely lady at the counter gave me the free gift as I and my mother both purchased items.

The items included were a make up remover, toner, Hypnose mascara and a lipgloss (swatch below) as well as some anti ageing products which I gave to my mother.

I have been really impressed with the make up remover/cleanser it smells amazing and removes every bit of make up and the toner just gives your skin that special finish. So I will defnitely think about purchasing these in the future. The lipgloss isn't really my thing as it is too glittery so I also passed that on to my mum haha. But I also love the Mascara sample...I am in the stage of finishing all the mascaras I have bought over this year so the Hypnose might be my next purchase!

My new favourite foundation

Hello all!
I hope that you are all well. Today I want to talk about my love for this amazing foundation by Lancome. I did speak about it before in a slating post for Glossybox but I gave in and bought the Teint Miracle in shade 3 because I had a lot of success with the sample I had.

First and foremost I love the colour pay off that this product has, I have mentioned many times before that I am not really a big fan of heavy foundations. This is a light texture which gives me enough coverage and is amazing to apply when you use a Stipple brush. I feel like this foundation is perfect for the summer and I would definitely repurchase it again!

Body Shop Collection

I love the Lily Cole collection that the Body Shop have bought out this year. I managed to pick up the Eyeshadow Shimmers in a special £20 pack (with 10% off because I have a body shop card) and I am loving it at the moment. The pack included the shimmers, mascara, eyeliner and an eyeshadow brush which for £18 is pretty amazing in my books!

I was slightly disappointed with the mascara though..it is really thick and doesn't come off very easily...but it does give my lashes a big boost...I don't think I will be repurchasing though!

The eyeliner is very good in colour and texture...is can be a little tricky to apply due to the applicator but it has a similar pay off to Rimmels Exaggerate eyeliner.

I love every shade in the eyeshadows, the pinks work well with the purples and you can create a variety of looks.

All in all I like this quad of eyeshadows you can use them wet or dry and they can look amazing at any time of the day.

Letting my inner Geek Chic run wild.

Hello again my lovelies. I have been feeling a bit random with my choices of clothing and accessories lately. Call it the turn in the horrid British weather that we have been having. Oh and perhaps the release of the Avengers movie has something to do with it.
Anyway I am a huge have of Marvel Comics...I always have been actually I love me some superheroes! So I was really looking forward to the Avengers coming out on the Big Screen. (Oh and YES I loved the movie ever so much so much so that I saw it in the Cinema 3 TIMES!.)

Now one thing about me is that I have a thing for bows...always loved them. So I decided to look around for some cute Avengers inspired bows on Etsy and I came across a few which I love and now own. :D I found these three and a pair of Captain America earrings at a Etsy shop called Vintage Virtue. This girl makes the most amazing geek inspired pieces of jewellery and accessories!

I also picked up a couple of Captain America T-Shirts from HMV for £12!

Ok so I might just love Captain America...A LOT. But I love him as a Superhero...just a nice guy who had nothing and became something. (Also Chris Evans is pretty darn fit!)

Anyway these are some of the geeky things that I am loving right now.

MAC smoooth lining.

I picked up these three stunning Pearlglide Intense Eyeliners that came with the MAC Vera Collection this spring and I am in love with them!

I have heard that these are now permanent in the MAC stock so that is amazing because the payoff and lasting is amazing. I got mine in 3 shades, Undercurrent (Green with teal/gold shimmer), Industrial (Grey/Blue colour with sky blue and brown shimmer tones) and Designer Purple (Violet purple with a purple and silver shimmer). I love using these under the waterline just to add a pop of colour to my look and they do last all day! I also love the other shades that have released too...check out this blog post by Temptalia to see the rest of the swatches. :)

I cannot wait to take these eyeliners with me on holiday, they are perfect for evening times too.
