My MAC experience.

Hello lovelies,
Today I want to talk about my experience at MAC.

Now we all know how amazing their products are, I mean at least 45% of my make up as a whole is MAC. I am quite faithful to MAC I always check out their new collections and end up purchasing a lot of products from them. I had an event tonight which was very important to our community, it was an appreciation to the Cricket Club that my dad sponsers and many of our family friends would be at this event. It was like a party, dinner and dance type thing. I was very excited for this as I got to really dress up and get my make up done.

I chose MAC as I do love their products and I thought that I would give one of their make overs a try, I always see girls getting their make up done by them so I was thinking why not? I booked my appointment and went back a week before to pay for it too.

Well today was not what I had expected at all..I got to my appointment a couple of minutes early...firstly they served me late...and secondly....I ended up waiting 20 mins. Now to me that is just ridiculous, I got terrible customer treatment by being made to wait on the side...with no one even bothering to look or ask me if I was ok...the main reason it ended up being 20mins was because I was trying to see if somene could help me but they were just too busy to even take a look at me.

In the end...don't even know how someone bothered to ask me if I was ok...now I was frustrated and I said to them that this is just out of order, their poor customer service and sheer arrogance has cost me my time and money. I had to be somewhere with my mum around 2.15pm and I just didn't have time to mess around with their complete lack of organisation. Look I understand that it is Saturday and you are busy...but I booked my appointment a MONTH in ADVANCE..and I had already PAID for it too. So why did you shove me aside...and become more concerned with making your commission and selling products?

The girl who was supposed to do my make up DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT I WAS THERE? I mean it doesn't get more outrageous that that! If they know that they have a certain number of makeovers booked why then can you not even know your schedule? I kicked up a real fuss because they just messed me about, made me late and I had paid them already for this stupid thing, there is no real reason for miscommunication because you know that these appointments have been booked WAAAYY in advance. The girl who told me to wait didn't even apologise for her mistake.

So I did end up getting my money back...even though they said oh we can do your make up but it was too late, I had other things to do and to be quite frank I was just too upset...and no point in me getting a pity make over.

Look this seems like a silly thing to rant about, but I have never ever had any kind of make over in my life, and just for once I wanted to look nice for a day. But the way the staff at MAC treated me reallly made me upset, I was so devastated because this event was so so important as I was going to be one of the main people at the door greeting everyone.

I did get a phonecall from MAC later on my voicemail apoligising and asking me to come back but too little too late at the point. My mum had a makeover at NARS in another store and they were just completely amazing, their treatment and respect for customers was lovely plus their make overs were free too, even the lady at NARS was shocked at how I was treated, if she didn't have a Bridal party coming in she would have done my make up too and her colleague was fully booked. NOW that's how you treat a customer...

The main reason for being so upset is because I was just so excited for this appointment, I told all my friends about it and even they were appauled over the treatment I got from MAC. I have no other events to attend now for the rest of the year so basically they played me up and now offering a free make over won't do me anygood. I don't really have anything going on for Christmas or New Years either.

So maybe you can now understand the way in which I feel so upset and deflated, I was genuinely soo excited for this and just the arrogance of the MAC staff is just shocking, is this how they treat their customers? I don't need a pity free make over either? Because they pretty much did bring me down for the rest of the day...I know its silly but things haven't been all that good for me lately and this was the one thing keeping me going.

Anyway I won't be going back to my local MAC counter for a while now, their treatment of customes espesh pre-paid customers is absolutely poor and they really need to think about what they did to me.

I just wanted to share that story with you, do let me know if you have had similar experiences at make up counters because it surprises me every time.

Sorry for the essay guys,

Take care,
Ash xxxx

Models Own Nails.

I love Models Own Nail  Varnishes,
I just bought a couple recently. I love how these ones are two/three toned and glitter different from different angles.

These colours are lovely on their own, and can also be used on top of darker colours to add a coating of glitter.

I do like the wear of these polishes, and I bought them on offer... Two for £8 when usually they are £5 each.

What do you guys think of Models Own Nail Polishes?

What's in my bag? (Updated!)

Hello everyone! I hope that you are all well today :)

I haven't posted an updated whats in my bag post for a while...so here we go...why not today?

Right...my handbag is an Astor Leather Satchel in Blue by Michael Kors. I bought this in America recently and I loveee it. I know Blue is a bit of a random colour...but I am not gonna lie...it is from an outlet..so I got it a bit cheaper. But you know what I don't care..its an awesome handbag..its really useful comes with loads of different pockets and it had handles as well as an adjustable strap. (So what is not to love...?) The staff at the Michael Kors were just amazing they were so kind and I bought heaps of stuff from there..including some of the things in my bag! :)

My Wallet is the Michael Kors Sloan in Blue. To be honest I could have bought the Astor Wallet but I didn't really like it...so I decided to go for the Sloan because of the clasp and design...its simple and stores everything I need. :D

I also picked up a Small Michael Kors Quilted Coin Purse. for my loose change as well as using it as a small wallet from time to time, it also has a keyring to it which makes it easier to store.

I have also included a small Juicy Couture coin purse which I keep my extra cards in (mainly loyalty as they don't fit into my usual wallet). This also has a keyring which is handy.

Keys, because well I need them. Alongside my ID for work...I won't unwrap it or turn it over as it is boring lol. Current issue of The Fly magazine (One of my free pick ups from HMV....I love finding out about new bands and this tends to be the best magazine for all this indie and rock n roll.)A map of Manhattan New York. Because I forgot to take it out...

iPod, Headphones, Shuffle, iPhone...you know the basics. :P

Anddd my Michael Kors Jetset 'MK' make up bag. Which is big enough to store all my things...much much love for this bag.

I think my next post will be about what's in my make up bag so it can be detailed into why I use these products!

Finally I have two perfumes...for some reason...I think I forgot about them being there. Lady Million by Paco Robanne and Jasminora by Guerlin. Both beaufitul and regal. :D

Whats In YOUR Bag? I would love to know!
Keep smiling lovelies!

Rings and things...

I love how you can walk into a high street store check out their jewellery and be amazed. My current love is this finger top and nail ring trend. Its grungey, edgy and totally me. I like to mix things up jewellery wise and I am always looking for something different.

I picked a this Fierce Nail Ring from New Look. I loveeee it and cannot wait to wear it in the evening to edge up my outfit. I love the length and bling factor in this ring very Lady Gaga/Rihanna like. :D (And it was only £4.99!)

I also bought two nail tops from River Island, one in the shape of an owl and one with a leopards head. I just thought that they were adorable! They came in at £4 and £2...which isn't too bad right?

I also got this awesome linked rings from Republic, loved the caged like effect. I feel like a right hipster right now! :P

(Do excuse the state of my nails...I haven't treated myself to a proper manicure in the last few days :P)

Do you guys like the Finger Top and Nail Rings that are around right now??
Hope that you are all well!

What's in my makeup bag?

My last post was the whats in my hand bag tag...today I will be going through my make up bag that goes with.

As I mentioned before its a Jetset 'MK' logo make up bag from Michael Kors. I love the colour..it goes with my hand bag and stores everything I need without taking up too much room. It was only like $60 on sale in the Michael Kors store. So a win win for me!

So here is a breakdown of all things make up and beauty. :)

Estée Lauder lipstick in Venetian Rose, MAC Lipstick in Marquis'd
Yves Rocher Sexy Pulp Mascara (Sample received in a GlossyBox)
My two favourite MAC Eyeshadows: Orb and Bisque.

Chained Hands.

Continuing with the jewellery theme...I would like to post an appreciation to Handchains.
They have been around in my culture for quite a while...and I only recently took notice of them as the high street have started doing their own amazing versions too. Below are all of the handchains I have purchases from the British High Street. As you might be able to see...I have quite a few...maybe a bit too many? Nah I take it back...one can never have enough.

I love how they can make an outfit different and they totally go with all the asian outfits I have...I have attended so many weddings and parties this year and each hand chain/cuff/bracelet has complimented my outfits amazingly well!

I got this gold delicate handchain from Republic for around £7!

This chain was also from Republic at £7 I love the little flowers.

This Crafted Hand Chain Cuff was £4 in the sale...also from Republic. I love the gold and black mix.

This beautiful design came in at £5 from New Look...I love the colour and the bling!

This hand Cuff/Bracelet is also from New Look and it was only like £6. Love the Vintage style effect.

This hand stretch braclet at £3.99 was from Internacionale love the silver jewels adds extra bling!

This is a handcuff my mum bought for me from an Asian Shop in Luton, again love the bling effect!

I think that I will probably end up buying some more simpler designs of chains...but I have got to say that I do genuinely love them all, thank you high street for making these affordable and amazing!

Do you own any of the haindchains that are around at the moment? Would love to see pics of you guys rocking them!

Keep smiling all!
