Soap & Glory gift set

I was so lucky to pick up this star gift from Boots. At £29 it was a total steal!
This was a couple of weeks ago but I am only just getting the chance to blog about it. Who knows some of you may have this in your Christmas gift selection! :)

My favourite thing about the body care is that most of it smells like the Miss Dior Cherie perfume. I haven't actually tried everything yet but the body butter is divine! I also love the. "mother pucker lip lacquer" even though I have always been slightly put off by gloss like products! The colour of this particular lacquer is fab and it lasts such a long time.  The mascara is ok but I find that it doesn't really put enough product on the lashes for me which is a bit odd. But maybe I need to give it a few more tries?!

I love how the bodyscrub smells exactly like lime/lemon sweets, it reminds me of eating them as a kid. I am pretty impressed by this box nonetheless. The body butter in the pump applicator isn't that great mainly because of the pump, however the Orange shower gel smells rather lovely.. I am waiting to finish my other shower things before I use this. I also look forward to the shower cream because it is so luxe!

As for the hand & heel creams  they are pretty standard and do the job well, I actually needed to try some new products so this was handy! I am keeping the wipes to use when I am travelling, so I hope that they work well with my skin.

So overall this was really great value for money, and I hope that some of you who are fans of this brand get this for Christmas! I think I am a convert!

Happy Christmas Eve, Eve!

Mr TF has done it again.

I went over to Canada around 2 months ago and I picked up some goodies from Duty Free.
A lot of my perfumes are now starting to run out and I felt like making an expensive purchase so that it would last me through the winter. So what did I buy? Well Tom Ford of course! How could I resist a perfume at a duty free price? I got the 100ml for around £82 and it's about £102 in the stores when I last checked.

I picked up Velvet Orchid. I heard a bit of hype around it, and I was originally going to get Violet Blonde but I just never got around to it. Plus Velvet Orchid was new and I came across lovely reviews. I don't have Black Orchid and to be honest perhaps I'm not much of a fan. The same goes for Sahara Noir. I prefer White Patchouli and Violet Blonde. Velvet Orchid, however, is beautiful. It is just the most perfect scent, and believe me it does last a long long time. I mean, yes of course it would being an EDP however some Parfums don't last on me, but this one does. Some of my friends have been so nice to compliment me on this particular fragrance, I have had it two months and barely used 15ml, so I am very happy with this purchase.

The fragrance itself is very sensual to start off with but gets lighter and more floral as time goes on. Obviously this is how it smells to me, it's amazing how one fragrance can be so different to everyone. This perfume has notes of cool citrus, honey, rum and mixed with an oriental floral twist. It's almost like a lighter more petal version of Black Orchid. (I hope that makes sense!) I find it to be really alluring and the scent just gets more different as the hours go on. I would definitely recommend it for anyone who loves floral and sensual fragrances. I love the simplicity of the bottle and the dark purple colour. It's just an all round perfume for me. I wear it during the day and night. If you haven't tried it already, let me know what you think!

My next TF buy is hopefully Violet Blonde or White Patchouli. But if we are talking more £££s then of course the beautiful Private Blend fragrances, wouldn't you just love the big 300ml Decanters? I absolutely adore Jasmin Rouge. That would be a lovely gift to myself! (or I might hint to others around me...!)

I think it's been too long.

I don't really know why I stopped blogging. I still have so much to talk about yet I just stopped.
2013 was a pretty crazy time and 2014 was even crazier. I am hoping that the next year will
be more productive.

So I am making a promise to myself to blog more!
