Saturday Specials.

Confession: I HATE going to shopping centres on a Saturday...there is just too much going on...too many people...too many queues and not enough time to do what you what.
But today I had to go and pick up a few things....as mentioned in my post yesterday...I had a "secret"...basically I am travelling to Canada on Monday! (Although I mentioned before that I might be going on holiday...so not much of a secret..lol) :D I am very excited...but the preparation of this trip is too much! I haven't even started packing yet and I still have a lot of running around to do..

I did buy a few things today...and YES my Make Up Ban is still on. Until I reach duty free of course.. :P

So I went into Lush looking for a new solid shampoo...as my New Shampoo bar has finally run out. Waheyy for that. I picked up Godiva. Apparently this is the most popular of the solid shampoo bars...I love the smell of this because it contains Jasmine and Honey..much like the Flying Fox Shower gel. But it also contains Cocoa Butter, Shea butter, camellia oil, jojoba oil, macadamia nut oil, extra virgin coconut oil and cupuaçu butter... I am looking forward to using this because it is a 2 in 1 product as it contains a hair conditioning agent too. So this will be ideal for travelling purposes. Now I will probably take my jungle conditioner with me just in case because I don't want my hair to dry up.

I also got the Lust Soap...because well I really love the scent! Its sexy and just makes me feel amazing. I don't want to take a shower gel with me to Canada so soap sounds like a better idea. I cannot wait to use this..I will just be in a jasmine filled shower heaven. :)
I picked up the next Lush product because it reminds me of coconuts and chocolate! I got the Yuzu and Cocoa Bubble Bar which smells like Coconuts! I cannot wait to try this because it looks like a macaroon! I do love the Lush bath products they are so lovely.

I was randomly looking around the Body Shop and I came across a new shower gel of theirs... (I won't be taking this into Canada) but the smell was so unique! Their Special edition Spiced Pumpkin shower gel is amazing! It smells exactly how winter should do. I really love Pumpkin anyway.  This was on offer for £2! I couldn't believe it. I mean the Originals range is normally £4 which isn't too bad...but getting it for £2 was eeevvveenn better. I picked up two to stock up and I might need to go back and get their Banana Shampoo and Conditioner too. As I have heard so much about them! :D

So tomorrow I hope to make a post about my Travel Make Up bag...I have all my essentials packed and ready to go. Yay!

Happy Saturday everybody!

Quick Haul.

Hello! Apologies for the delayed post. But I just kept forgetting... not an excuse I know.
Firstly all my new followers, thank you for following! :)

I went over to the city for some window therapy. As in I didn't really wanna spend any money so window shopping is sometimes the best thing ever!

I did however pick up a few things as I was in need of them..by need I mean I had to only buy one thing but picked up two others as they were on sale...

Firstly I hit the River Island Sale and bought two pairs of earrings at £2 each! Amazing! I like the style of these, nothing too dramatic and easy enough to wear on a normal shopping day out or to work. :)

I also got the Lush Cleanser that I was after as my "Angels on Bare Skin" had run out. I got the Bûche de Noël facial cleanser. Which looks amazing! It definitely smells like Christmas and I have heard many amazing things about this. This cleanser contains Cocoa Butter, Dried Cranberries, Ground Almonds and Fresh Satsumas. I am really looking forward to using this as it 'supposedly' is nourishing, hydrating and scrubs away dead skin.

This doesn't come in a pot like the others do, so I will have to use another Lush pot to store this in, but I like the idea of storing it in a Corn Husk. I have tried the cleanser and it is so softning on my skin, probably the best one that I have tried too actually. I am definitely impressed.

How are you all today?

I have a little secret...I will reveal all in my next post. :)
xxxx

P.S. I FINALLY got round to using the Royal Wedding special Street Party Bath Ballistic that Lush released...and this is what happened to my bathwater...it is safe to say that it did not come off my skin that easy!

This and that.

Hello all,
Today's post is just a bit of this and that...well a ramble of things really.
Firstly, I haven't done a September Favourites post yet because I haven't had time! :( But I will probably do
"Stuff I am loving right now" post instead.

Secondly I am trying to go on a make-up ban for the next couple of months...so all the future posts will be about things I already own.. (let's see if I can last...I highly doubt it as I might be going on holiday soon...) Also this ban does NOT include make up given to me :P So a little loophole there to ease my longing.

The House of Fraser in my hometown (basically its a department store) has been going through some refurbishments for a couple of months...I went into there today and they now stock a few new cosmetic brands that were not in the store before. This includes: Shiseido, Biba, Urban Decay and my favourite... NARS! I am so glad that now Nars is being stocked in Milton Keynes, I always had to go to Birmingham, Manchester or London for my nearest fix. I was however slightly appauled by the customer service I received there...the make up girls were very arrogant and would ask me if I was ok, treat me like I was some sort of scum and then get back to gossiping before checking out my make up, clothes shoes etc...THIS is exactly why I can never work in the beauty business, you never get nice customer service and these girls think that they own the world just because they work for a beauty brand. I know that NOT ALL make up counter girls/ladies are like this...but most of them are in my experience and I always feel so unworthy if I end up buying anything... :( Have any of you guys had the same experience at department stores?

I have my eye on the 'Amour' Blush from Nars though. I did a couple of swatches of it and it was just the most perfect of Peach/Pinks...with a hint of shimmer. I might end up buying it soon because I need a good blusher. I feel like I don't have a good quality one and if I end up going on holiday I will be attending a wedding so I need a blush that can do me justice. It is £20.50 though...but I have read/heard so many good reviews of the Nars blushes that I might just give in and purchase this in the near future. (I guess my make up ban might go out the window...but if I persuade the bank of parents to buy it for me...then it's not cheating right? :P)
I mean just look at this blush it has the right amount of glitter pigments and colour...kinda wish I took a picture of my swatch now! lol

I went into my local Tescos and finally got an opportunity to see the VIVO range, I didn't buy anything but I definitely have been impressed with the range, the prices were reasonable and the products look to a good quality..I think I feel cheap make up brand love commencing in the near future!

So things on my to do list include: Going to Stratford Westfield Shopping centre...as KIKO Make Up, Beauty Base and Inglot are all there...I need to see it!!!

My new perfume love out of the many has got to be the New Valentino Perfume 'Valentina' I think I love this more than the Elie Saab perfume. It is so much more subtle and smells similar to Nina Ricci's Nina but has a more floral base. I love the bottle too, argh need this in my life! I have £15 worth of points saved up on one of my beauty cards...so I might just use them...I want to get this perfume as I am really starting to dislike the Marc Jacobs Oh Lola! It is just too sickly for me now...so I am trying to finish it asap. Even if I hate it haha.

Anyway, I feel like I should start posting about the things I can't live without in my beauty regime, it might make my posts a little more interesting. :P

Hope that you are all well!

It's that time of the year...

Hello all, it has been a few days since I posted last...but I have been a bit busy with work and stuff at home...and lack of time has just been getting to me.

But today I can finally make a post about my time at Lush last week (Oct 1st) with the launch of their Christmas products. I signed up for the free event a couple of weeks before and even though I was very close to missing out..(because I was lazy) I did end up going and it was a lot of fun!

A very hipster Instagram shot of the Bath Ballistics. :P

The store had complimentary drinks (which I was sensible and had the lemonade rather than the wine..), and various members of staff going through the new products with you. They also had a number of girls giving make up looks with their colour supplements as a base, hand massages with their massage bars and hair styling with their dirty range. As well as a girl being painted...which I don't think I would have gone for..I left before her painting was complete but I have a few pictures here! :)

New Soaps including Snowcake Angels Delight, and Candy Cane.

Another new Soap in Northern Lights. This was the one I was most excited about.

Snow Fairy Section, in which on the first day there was only 1 big bottle of Snow Fairy showergel left!

Gifts upon Gifts!

Body paint time! I had to sneakily take this picture..or she would have thought that I was really weird...

I ended up going for the hand massage as I already had make up on and my hair was freshly styled a lá lazy (meaning I half dried it with moroccan oil and then styled it with my Texturising spray.). The hand massage was amazing though, I felt like I needed it the lovely lady doing my massage used the Soft Coeur bar which was worked deep into my skin giving a real luxury feel and then she finished it off by sweeping off the excess and using the Silky Underwear dusting powder. This just left my skin in an amazing state! I might need to invest in these two products when my skin is in need of attention.

The experience overall was good, I did pick up some really nice products from their new range and I do love my hometown store, two of the girls are my school friends and they are just so nice. However...I am more looking forward to the Lush Sale because I will most likely go crazy and buy lots of the range. :D

So I did buy a few things (partly because I had to exchange a solid perfume as I hated it...)

Glögg and Snow Fairy Shower gels both 100g.

Cinders Bath Ballistic.

Abombinaball Bath Ballistic.

The only thing I didn't see which I did really want was the Buche de Noel face cleanser. I have heard a lot of good things about this product so I need to go over to the store again and see when it will be around. It helps that my current Lush cleanser is also finishing. :P

So far I have tried the Abombinaball ballistic (which was good and left the bathwater in a lovely teal/bright blue colour, as well was relaxing my muscles, aches, pains etc..this also made me feel all warm inside.) I also tried the Glögg shower gel and well I am not too impressed with it..maybe its the aftersmell that puts me off. I am most looking forward to trying the Northern Lights soap, it is very similar to Karma but it has a lemon base rather than an orange one. I love that it is neon yellow...it really does remind me of the Aurora's in the sky. :)

I hope that you have all been well.
Is there anything from the Lush Christmas range that you would like to purchase?
Enjoy your Monday everyone!

Urban Decay Book of Shadows

I mentioned in my last posts that I recently purchased the Urban Decay Book of Shadows Vol. IV.
Why I bought this...I have no good enough reasons. But I now own 10 palettes my Urban Decay and for a very good reason too: I love their eyeshadows.

This palette features something different from the other palettes it includes a speaker to plug into your smartphone and a card with various QR codes, when encoded from your phone opens up videos on how to create certain looks with this palette. It also contains 10 new colours, as well as a mascara, liquid eyeliner and primer potion. It does come in at £46.00 which might seem a bit hefty but when you calculate the costs of the eyeshadows and extras its pretty cheap..and will last you a long time.
I feel like this palette has more usable colours than some of the others, the neutrals are really the key. Although I wish they hadn't included Baked (seeing as that is in nearly all of the palettes I own) The colours are pretty different and useful.  I love how this time rather than getting the Zero 24/7 glide on pencil you get the liquid liner instead, as I have many of the pencils from my previous collections. The Primer potion is also different in my opinion the formula has changed, its much thicker in consistency. I have tried the mini mascara and so far I like it but I wouldn't buy it over the Big Fatty Lash. It left my lashes curly but they had no volume whatsoever. Anyway here are  better pictures of the colours and swatches. :)

Left to Right: Baked (Rich Orange Gold), Cobra (Blacked Khaki Green with Gold Shimmer), Gunmetal (Dark Grey with Silver Flecks), Blue Bus (Blue/Purple).
 (With Flash below)
Left to Right: Hijack (Turquiose/Denim Blue), Lost (Chocolate Brown), Gravity (Rich Purple), Bender (Moss Green).
With Flash (Below)
Left to Right: Crystal (Pale Blue with Blue glitter flecks), Midnight Rodeo (Taupe with Silver Glitter), Sin (Pink/Peach), Midnight Cowgirl (Pale Gold with Gold Glitter).
With Flash below:
Top to Bottom: Bust (Taupe/Quartz), Missionary (Peach/Taupe), Skimp (Light Peach/Cream),  Zephyr (Cream/White Shimmer).
With Flash (Left to Right: Bust, Missionary, Skimp and Zephyr)

So I really do love this palette, it has some really workable colours and the Neutrals are almost as good as the Naked Palette. I have been using this non-stop since I got it. Below are some of the pictures of the other stuff included:

24/7 Waterproof Liquid Liner in Peversion, Supercurl Curling Mascara and Original Primer Potion.

Overall I would recommend this palette to anyone who doesn't own anything by Urban Decay, its a good introduction to the brand and the colours are richly pigmented. :)

How are you all today? Over the weekend I attended a Lush Christmas Products Launch party at their store, it was really good and I picked up some amazing new products. Which I shall mention in my next post.

Happy Monday everyone!
