Bags, Bags Galore.

I blame this next post on Laura at Buy Now, Blog Later.
I must admit I am so glad to see her back on the blogging arena, I missed her Lollipop26 blog.
Anyway she has been mentioning her love for these bags from an online shop on eBay and I caved in and ordered them too! I am the most difficult person when it comes to handbags, I don't know why! There are so many styles, and colours to choose from but I can never find the right one. I have needed a handbag update for a long time now but well...because I am very picky... Anyway I saw that Laura had loved these too and thought that I would give it a shot.

The eBay store is called Bag-That-Style-6 and I am in love with their products, affordable and excellent in quality. I will definitely be buying more things from them.
The infamous bag[s] that I picked up was the Foccia Bag aka: Celebrity Stud Studded Bottom Black Duffel Tote Bag I love that these bags are so simple yet the studded bottom adds a bit of an edgy feel. I would recommend these bags if you like something a bit different, I cannot get enough of mine and I am slightly tempted to order the White version too! :D

So here are the rubbish pictures that I just took from my bed haha...but I love both of them so much... (I ordered the Black one last month and the grey one arrived just today FYI.) :P

Do you have a particular style of handbag that you love?
Hope that you are having a good Wednesday afternoon :)

I would love to own just some of this.

Hello again, I sometimes make it my mission to browse online shops for interior inspiration, just for my own cause really.
So check out some of these things that I would love to have in my house!

Halloween style cushions from Etsy.
Yes its not Halloween yet but these cushions are so adorable. They are sold separately and made from a burlap material. Totally a stupid buy but I like them, its a more grown up way to celebrate the holiday.

Belek's Cat earrings from Etsy.
Continuing on the Halloween theme, I love these! They are made out of sterling silver and I want to own these for some reason.

Cast Iron Bathtub Couch from Etsy.
This is for my inner Breakfast at Tiffanys chic. I don't even know why I want one in all honesty.

Harry Potter Horcrux Charm Bracelet from Etsy
I love Harry Potter, I grew up reading it and it has been such an imporant series in my life. I love this bracelet and the depictions of the Horcruxes. Out of this list...I am most likely to buy this bracelet. It includes: The scar for Harry, The Ravenclaw diadem, The Hufflepuff cup, Slytherin necklace, Nagini the snake, the Peverall ring and the Riddle diary. Anyway I would really like this on my Christmas list. :D

Lomography Dreamer Diana F+ Camera from Urban Outfitters.
I would like to think that I can take photographs in the most Hipster way. I WILL take nice pictures one day. I love that these cameras are so lightweight and the colours are so lovely and girly.

So this is the stuff on my current wish list.
:)

Hauls of the day..well kind of.

Hello all, I hope that you are having a super Tuesday.

I have been really unwell for the past week or so and only today did I get a chance to leave my home. It is my mums birthday soon so I needed to buy her present today.
I met up with a friend and did some shopping, which of course is always a treat.
Anyway I thought I would do a post about some things that I have bought and a few late birthday presents that were given to me!

1. Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit. RRP £13.25
I have heard many positive reviews about this product and thought that I myself would give it a try. It is a cleanser with extracts of rosemary, chamomile, cocoa butter and eucalyptus essential oil (as it says on the bottle) and it is used on your skin to remove make up dirt to clean and polish etc...etc.. I bought the starter kit for the Muslin Cloths which help the polish get rid of make up and grime revealing a cleaner and softer skin. Well that is what I assume takes place anyway, I will be testing out this product and conducting a review of it soon. So fingers crossed that it works well! :)

2. Giorgio Armani, Armani Code EDP 30ml.
This was a gift given to me for my birthday. I have only ever bought the Emporio Armani fragrances yet never tried this one. It is a little different for my taste maybe a bit mature but its nice for colder months as it has a strong lingering type of smell. This smells pretty earthy with its sandalwood essences, yet it has a citrus overtone. Again I have only used it a couple of times so only time will tell if I will like it. Price is unknown as it was a gift!

3. Paperchase Notebook and Pen. RRP £3.50 and £2.25
I have never kept a notebook in my handbag, and now that I am getting older and feeling like I travel around a lot I decided to buy one today. Its very handy and I bought a white gel pen to match. Hopefully I will use it for ideal wishlists, friends messages, memories and travel adventures. Looking forward to see where the next year takes me!

4.  Foo Fighters Skin & Bones Album
I am a huge Foo Fighters fan, I saw them live not too long ago actually in my hometown of Milton Keynes and it was the best concert that I have ever been too. I have all of their albums on CD...mainly because if I love a band with a passion I normally by the Album on CD...it adds a personal and sentimental value to their music I think. (Although I paid £10 for mine on the website it is going for £4.99!!)
This album was a collection of their live recordings at the Los Angeles' Pantages Theater from their expanded 8 piece band on the In Your Honour tour, mainly consisting of the softer side to their tracks. I love the song 'Skin and Bones' so I thought that I would give them album a go too. :)

I would like to mention a array of random things now.
Firstly a few things I am loving right now.
  • Clinique Super City Block ~ An oil fre daily face protector which has an SPF of 40. My gosh this is the best face protector that I have ever used. It was my saviour in Dubai and gave me a matt flawless finish on my skin when applied under foundation or tinted moisturiser.
  • Diesel LOVERDOSE Perfume ~ I think this perfume is fairly new, but I managed to get a little tester of it. I loved the purple bottle and the vanilla and liquorice infused smell. Definitely will be checking this out again.
  • Elie Saab Le Parfum ~ This perfume had just come out in Dubai in the beginning of July and was soo expensive for me at the time, but it has now been released in the UK. And I LOVE IT. The best perfume to come out all year and it will definitely be a big seller for the Autumn/Winter Months and Christmas time. It smells divine, floral and overpowering but the right amount of both. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS. I also happened to get a 50ml gift set with a 10ml purse spray and little body soap for my mum's birthday. I cannot wait to get my own bottle. GO GO GO and check out this perfume, it is TO DIE FOR.

Gifts from my friend Ellen in Australia.
My lovely friend from Brisbane sent me a few things for my birthday which included Tim Tams (chocolate biscuits which were so amazing I have nearly finished them all!) A perfume dispenser and some earrings. I love the colour of the earrings because they are the perfect brick red colour for A/W!

Finally Gifts from my best friend Chloé.
Chloé knows me so well! I got some lovely presents from her including some apricot and strawberry flavoured black tea (to curb my tea addiction), a teal bracelet and a Tea and Cake necklace. It is soo adorable I cannot wait to wear it.

So that was my haul/ramble about things that I have bought or had given to me. It is a mixture of things...as I like a variety of random things.

Song of the day: Helpless by Friendly Fires. I adore this album, this song and this band. Check it out its the right kind of mellow to cool you down after a tiring day. :)

Question of the day: What is your favourite type of tea? I am really loving my Lavender Earl Grey by Twinings.

Lush or not fussed?

I have only recently gotten into buying products from Lush.
Yes I am aware that I have jumped on the bandwagon a little late, but in reality I never really bothered to go inside the store until I tried one of their facemasks. But my addiction as gone on as most of the stuff I use now is from Lush. Maybe its the novelty of using it, or maybe its the quality or maybe its the fact that more than 50% of the products are ethically friendly and vegan (I am not vegan but I don't like using chemicals in my skin etc..)? I am not sure as I have only used it for about 8 months or so.

Current favourites are all listed below, each for their own reasons.

1. Dark Angels cleanser. RRP £5.95.
I have pretty terrible skin due to my hormone levels, I get breakouts, dryness, oily T Zone and its all sensitive at the same time. I wanted to try something a bit stronger for my skin as a cleanser because I had heard that this cleanser would be suitable for my condition. This definitely helped with my oily skin and left it soft and supple, the only problem I had was that it left the sink basin very messy as it was made from charcoal. I would probably not be buying this again for some time as I like to try different cleansers. But all in all a good product, takes forever to finish though! I like the smell of it too.

2. New Solid Shampoo Bar. RRP £5.00
I have lost a lot of hair due to my hormonal changes and problems and well because of straightening my hair so much. It falls out constantly and because of this I had not heat styled my hair in absolutely forever! (By this I mean about 2 years). Anyway my Lush girl told me that this shampoo was good to stop my hair from falling not regrowth although she tried to tell me that regrowth would happen eventually. Anyway I really wanted to try out the solid shampoos as they sounded quite cool to me. So I bought New shampoo bar and in all honesty I love the smell, as it contains cinnamon and clove. My hair did feel quite waxy after using it but after it had dried the effect was clear, my hair wasn't as dull it was shiny and healthy. And for a while my hair stopped falling out! These solid shampoo bars last you FOREVER and they lather up quite well too, I mean REALLY well. I would probably say that the New bar is more for specialist hair but Lush have a variety of solid shampoos that would suit everyone. Not to mention how they are so good for travel purposes, just add them in a shampoo bar tin and you are ready to go. I was impressed with this but most of it had melted away as I forgot to remove it from my shower for a couple of days whilst it was in the tin. :(

3. Jungle Solid Hair Conditioner. RRP £2.95
As I was as curious with the shampoo bars I was as curious with conditioners. My lush girl said that this was a good basic all round conditioner so I had to try it. I will admit I was sceptical but boy was I wrong. If there is anything you buy from this list to test out its this conditioner. I loved the smell and the result. It left my hair soft, smelling great and detangled. I used this with the New Solid Shampoo bar and it was a perfect combination. It doesn't last as long as the shampoo bars but still got through about 30 odd washes I think. So not bad and worth the money! I loveee this so much and this has been my favourite Lush product. I would recommend this for all of those with slightly dry hair who need it to shine. I would say that this needs to be kept in a tin and its better to add a little water to make it into a paste for it to work properly. But the smell lingers on after you come out of the shower so it is AWESOME!

4. Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly. £5.95 for 240g
This was one of the first things I got given to me from a friend about 4 years ago. I had the christmas edition shower jelly and they like so much fun. Anyway this jelly was another present from a friend and I love it! Ok they can be hard to handle what with the texture and all that, but the smell is fantastic and it lathers up pretty well. I think these are the best thing for kids (me being one of the biggest kids of course). Everyone should have a shower jelly this one smells like candy floss and sweeties, so basically all the stuff I loved as a kid! :D

5. Cupcake Fresh Face Mask. RRP £5.50
This was not the first face mask that I tried but it is one of my favourites. I think its best suited for my skin...as it says on the lid haha. But I like the smell and texture of this mask. It definitely made me skin feel cleaner and refreshed. It feels like a spa mask with the Cocoa and peppermint and the butter is nourishing. Now as it is a fresh mask it only lasts a month or so, so you have to keep it in the fridge and make sure that you use it up or it goes off. Mine lasted about 4 or 5 tries which I think is good and worth the money! If you have acne prone skin then I would say that you should try this out.

6. Stepping Stone Foot Scrub. £2.80 for 60grams
I have a low tolerance for summer because it takes a lot out of my feet, I suffer from athletes foot from time to time and its pretty horrible. And it does not help that I don't care much for my feet either. But I came across this scrub whilst on holiday in Dubai. It was so hot there and my feet were as dry as ever. So I went into my local lush store paid 3 times as I should have done for stepping stone but it was worth it! My feet were soft, moisturised and fresh. The citrus elements of this scrub take away the dirt and smell whilst the jojoba oil leaves them soft and supple. This scrub was my saviour in Dubai and this will be one of my summer essentials from now on. You only need a small amount with a small amount of water and the best way to store this is in a tin as it can break down easily with too much water. Again it is a good product and I would tell all my friends to invest in it.

7. Tea Tree Water. RRP £3.75 for 100g
The main reason I bought this was because of the aftermath of my holiday in Dubai. My skin was inflamed and I had spots EVERYWHERE due to the heat. I am not used to visiting such a hot country so my skin broke out and looked terrible. I like this water but in all honesty I picked up the wrong one! I wanted to try the Rose water but for some reason I got this one without looking at is...how silly of me. Anyway I like the tea tree its refreshes my skin and made it feel cleaner. It did help in reducing the spots I had as souveniers from Dubai so I thought I would include it here. I will be interested to see how the other toners work as I saw results from this one!

So that is my take on Lush Products at the moment, I have many things from their collections I want to cover but that will be for next Month I guess. I tend to buy their limited edition things which some of them I have yet to try but I will get round to it as the colder months are approaching and that means nice baths!

Question of the day.
Do you have a favourite Lush Product? If so why?
OR
Do you not believe the hype around Lush? If so why?

Lip favourites.

I never really buy that many lip products, mainly because my make up addiction lies between eye products. But here are some that are my favourites at the moment. They each have their own reasons. :)

1. Sleek Pout Polishes in Sugar May and Monte Carlo. (Limited Edition) RRP £4.99
I really love these balms, they are lovely colours perfect for daytime uses and also contain an SPF 15. Which is always great for hot days! They look lethal in the pictures but I assure you from the swatches that they are both wearable for any skin tone at the matter. They really are conditioning and so easy to carry around for touch ups.

Sugar May is the peachy tone and Monte Carlo is the flouro pink.

2. Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Coral Queen. RRP £5.99 (I think)
This is my favourite drugstore lipstick! I bought my first one about 3 years ago when they first came out and I have loved it ever since. This coral is a bright pinky coral rather than a red toned one. It's perfect for summer (although I wear it in any season) Or lovely to dab over a nice lipbalm for some light colour. I am not sure about the moisture renew aspect, as it doesn't really last for hours, but the colour is fabulous!

The top colour is Coral Queen faded out and the bottom swatch is the full colour. I love experimenting with them!

3. Topshop Blush in Neon Rose. RRP £6.00
I know I know a cheek product in a lip favourite post? Well not only is this my favourite and only blusher I regularly use I also use some of it on my lips before applying a lip product. Most of the time I will pair it up with a lipbalm. and for some reason it lasts! I think this is Topshop's best selling blush and rightfully so, it is so perfect for my skin and gives me a natural non-cakey glow.

4. Vaseline in Rosy Lips. RRP £2.89 (I think)
This is the lipbalm of the century for me! And believe me I have used many vaselines, lipbalms etc...etc..So as mentioned in the last product this would be the balm that I would put over the neon rose blush and it is a match made in heaven for my lips. I feel like vaseline is so much better for the winter months where as the Sleek pout polishes are better for spring/summer. Amazing colour and a good investment, can be used at any time of the day and just perks up your lips whilst repairing them. If you check out anything from this list...then check out this!.

5. Sabaya Moisture Lipstick in 24. RRP 55 AED (So about £10 depending on the exchange rate)
As I mentioned in a post before I recently took a trip to Dubai and although I didn't buy too much stuff I did pick up a lipstick. Now the story behind the reason for this lipstick can only be fully explained in the next product that I talk about. But for now...I got this lipstick from an Arab make up store and it is called Mikyayj. Yep I cannot pronounce it either. Now Dubai is good for many things, but I wanted to see something authentic and UAE based rather than the brands that I am used too. Anyway this shop was soo lovely and they had some really nice make up in there which was an average price. I picked up this lipstick, it is the pefect dark rose colour but still has enough pink in it to make it pop. I would probably wear this more in the winter, but I like it nonetheless!

6. MAC Lustre Lipstick in Gem of Roses. Limited Edition RRP £13.50. From the Semi Precious Collection Summer 2011.
Now this collection was amazing, I mean I love mineralize products as it is and I was looking forward to buying it. So before heading off to Dubai this collection was released in the UK and I managed to pick up 3 eyeshadows and forgot about the lipstick as I couldn't find it around my local MAC store. When I got to Heathrow Airport I saw that this lipstick was there...however some b**** infront of me got the last one.. I was soo heartbroken because I REALLY wanted this lipstick more than anything but she got the last one!! If only I had gotten to the stand 2 minutes earlier. Anyway this explains why I bought the Sabaya lipstick I was looking for a similar colour to this...but I was so so sad that I couldn't get this colour its lame but it just suited me so well. It has also been sold out EVERYWHERE in the UK.. and wasn't released in Dubai until about 2 weeks after I had left...
Fast forward a month, and I have been a bit sceptical on people selling stuff on eBay but I saw that this seller has a eBay top seller badge and lots of people had bought products from them, so I thought WHY NOT! I found this lipstick and I bought it straight away. Anyway it was delivered a couple of days ago and my my I love this colour. It is the right shade of gum rose pink and perfect for day times or night times. Eugh I love this colour so much and I am so glad that I posesss it now!

7. Estée Lauder Pure Colour Lipstick in Melon. RRP £18.50
Technically this isn't my lipstick, it is my mums but she never used it. So I thought I would use it so that it would not go to waste of course!  Lauder always seem like an 'Old Lady' brand to me probably because the packaging is gold and navy and that well I always see Mature women at the stands. I feel like I am being slightly mean though, I do like Lauder products because of their quality, they really put a lot of work into their products and nowadays their new collections are appealing to a broader audience, which is always good!
Anyway I lovee this lipstick, its the perfect frosted peach. I am always trying to avoid frost lipsticks but this is the only one I truly love, for me its my go to spring colour. It is a bit expensive at nearly £20 but the product is amazing and lasts for years.

So that is all the products I would like to mention for now,
My question to you:
Is there a lip product that you cannot live without? and Why?
:)

Note. All products were purchased by me with my own money apart from the Lauder Lipstick which was purchased by my dad with his money for my mum hahaa.

Been away.

I haven't posted in a few days so firstly many apologies for that, I had my birthday the other day and after that I fell ill and have been ill since then.

I just wanted to talk about a few things, which will probably come up in my later posts in more detail.
Firstly I recently purchased the Urban Decay 15 Year Anniversary Eyeshadow Collection Palette. Which is amazing.
It has the right amount of colours to create an array of looks so the review/swatches will be coming up soon.

I also got the Oh, Lola! perfume from Marc Jacobs as a gift from my parents for my birthday, it is amazing. And smells like strawberries, cream and roses to me.

So Summer is nearly over and I think I want to talk about a few things that got me through it. These include Solid Shampoo's from Lush, Tinted Moisturisers from Urban Decay, Clinique Brush Cleansers and a few other things.

Anyway I hope that you are all well...as I am not...feeling incredibly tired and just in pain really from the fever that I have had for so long...
Take care all.

Glitterati.

Around last year I was wondering around Selfridges in London and I came across a stand called Jinny Rainbow. (link!) I was a little interested as I saw many girls covered in glitter tattoos, and I was given a free glitter tattoo which was amazing.

The girls use a stencil, some glue and glitters of your choice. Mine was in shape of a shooting star and I was told that they last around 7 days...I was a bit sceptical at first but then I had seen that after about 5 days (and yes I did shower everyday) my glitter tattoo has lasted! It was amazing.

So that was that, Jinny Rainbow had opened up another stand in the Milton Keynes shopping centre, and again being curious I decided to check it out. Now they were charging for glitter tattoos but they were bigger stencils. So again I got a shooting star (picture below) and was told that it would last 7 days. Why would I get a glitter tattoo? Well I had a gig to attend the next day, and I thought...ok lets see if this lasts thats why! Oh and the gig was the Foo Fighters one in Milton Keynes where both days there were 65,000 people!
So why make a post about glitter tattoos? I mean surely I am a little old for this...as well I am turning 22 after all...in all honesty the main reason for it was because I find them to be so much fun! Glitter tattoos are just nice to look at and can jazz up an outfit really.
Now the JinnyRainbow tattoos are remarkable when used correctly, my second shooting star tattoo lasted nearly 10 days...and this was also throughout my trip to Dubai. I also got one more tattoo before heading off to Dubai (picture below) which was just lovely. I don't know there is something I love about glitter!
So this was the first tattoo I had from Selfridges.
This was the tatto that lasted me throughout the WHOLE of Foo Fighters :D
I got this one done before a day before leaving for Dubai.

Anyway, I bought some more glitters from Jinny Rainbows, these were like £6.50 for a smaller size but still lovely. I have not got around to buying the stencils or the glue yet...but I will do!

So what do you think...glitter temporary tattoos..Yay or Nay?
